My Collection of Poems for the Wheel of the Year

I’m sharing this collection of poems in the hope
that
it will help more people connect with the natural cycles of life and nature.
I truly believe it will bring you joy and inspiration too.

Niky-Simko-Heartfelt-Work

These poems seek to help us reconnect with a world we have long belonged to but forgotten, offering a gentle, metaphorical balm for our fatigue and an invitation to pause, reflect, and rediscover the charm that surrounds us.

An Honest Introduction to Thought

Because of our many responsibilities, we no longer enjoy the daily sunrise and sunset, fail to observe the night sky, and hardly notice, for example, when autumn begins. Perhaps this is why we feel more tired, stubbornly and recklessly trying to maintain the active mood of summer instead of slowing down with autumn and preparing for the quiet, cold winter. In winter, we push ourselves to the limit once more, unaware that our strength is fading.

As spring arrives and the energy around us increases, we complain of spring fatigue, though it is really the result of not having rested through the winter. In summer, we use up the last of our vitality, drawing on our body's reserves. And even though we recharge a little in the sun and fresh air on warm days, it's far from enough.

With this habitual behavior, we carry on into the next autumn and the new cycle of nature. We expose our bodies to harmful stress, our health deteriorates, we lose the joy of our soul, and we grow weaker. We lose energy. Furthermore, we have stopped seeing the beauty that surrounds us.

Energies change throughout the year, and so do we. It is a natural flow that sustains the vital life cycle of our planet, including its flora and fauna. So why do we think we’re the exception?

Let us recall our ancient imagination, allowing these simple lines of poetry to unfold into a wonderful theater of life. The story of the world we live in. The story of four traditions and four seasons unfolding before our eyes each year.

Just as people once gathered around the fire with their families
in the evening to hear the stories of their loved ones -
we now sit with this collection of poems from the Wheel of the Year.
Light a candle, and begin to read the still-living story of our world.

Motivation to persevere

Through these poems, may we always cherish the gift of the present moment and live intuitively in harmony with nature. Thanks to this, we gain new energy and strength that gradually flows into our veins. All of us living in Europe can experience the beautiful change of the four seasons and our old domestic traditions over the year.

However, other parts of the world also have various natural cycles that we can observe and connect with - the alternating rainy and dry seasons, monsoon periods, areas prone to frequent earthquakes, and more. We Europeans may not be familiar with them, but the locals can certainly teach us how to live wisely there, introduce us to their customs, and share old stories.

Throughout the year, we also look forward to other traditions not mentioned here but that bring just as much joy, such as Easter, International Children’s Day, Advent, Christmas, New Year, World Yoga Day, Carnival, Santa Claus holiday, and more...

No matter where we are or which holidays we celebrate, this collection of poems is really about living in tune with the natural rhythms of life and staying connected to what lies close to our hearts.

May these poems spark enthusiasm
and inspire a deeper connection with the magical cycles of nature.
