My name is Veronika Simko,
friends know me as Niky.
I am a writer, blogger, and yoga teacher.
I spend my days writing, creating, practicing yoga, and exploring the quieter layers of life. Through my work, together with photography, ancient philosophy, and an awareness of the nervous system, I hope my creations help people slow down and breathe more consciously.
Writing found its way into my life very quietly and naturally. Some words feel like untamed magic flowing onto paper.
Yoga has accompanied me through many stages of life, but over time I stopped seeing it just as movement. I have studied and practiced different styles of yoga, including Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Mantra chanting, Pranayama, among others. It helps me live my life more peacefully.
My path has also led me toward an exploration of energy work and living in harmony with natural cycles. I enjoy moments of silence, where I can immerse myself in sound healing or simply be. I also love nature, books, philosophy, traveling, meaningful conversations, movement, learning, and the beautiful rituals of everyday life. I have come to know both my strengths and my weaknesses. So I continue learning how to support my health with greater patience and understanding.
I carry a strong sense of freedom and inner strength. I’m 34 years old now, and over many years, I have built a life between different cultures, experiences, and ways of living. Eventually, I found my home that provides me with peace and seclusion near the forest and lakes in Western Europe. Right on the border between the Netherlands and Germany.
I deeply miss my beloved dog, my Ayumi, a female Akita Inu, who now waits for me somewhere beyond this life. Although we had to say goodbye for a while, our hearts remain connected across the distance, and even though I cannot see her, I believe she still walks beside me in spirit.
However, as life often unfolds, I have walked through many painful experiences, losses and difficult seasons. Actually, I wrote an ebook inspired by some of the more difficult and challenging chapters of my life to honestly share what it means to move through emotional exhaustion and the slow return to yourself.
Especially I believe that in moments when life feels heavy, confusing, or lonely, we need the stories of other people more than ever. Because life moves all of us through endings and difficulties we never expected.
Sometimes, simply knowing that another soul has also walked through moments when they felt lost in life can quietly bring hope, comfort, and the feeling that maybe we, too, will find our way forward again.
Maybe this ebook will find you at exactly the moment you need it most.
If you feel drawn to it, I would be honored to share this deeply personal journey through loss, breath, and returning to yourself. Within its pages, you will also discover a simple breath awareness practice meant to softly support you through overwhelming moments and help you feel more grounded.
Usually, I light a candle and, with passion, weave words into my blog, sharing the beauty hidden within ordinary life. I observe and travel through both the near and distant landscapes of the outer world, just as I journey inward through spiritual exploration and the deeper layers of myself. This way of living feels most natural for me.
I stay in moments of silence often for a long time by the scent of the forest, the sound of the sea, the beauty of the night sky, or by a good book.
Above all, I enjoy creating spaces that feel gentle, emotionally steady, and safe. I write because some things are simply too deep to remain unspoken. Along with this, I am devoted to guiding online yoga practices and creating projects focused on the inner world and emotional well-being.
I hope my work can bring you precious moments of harmony,
comfort for an overwhelmed mind and ease the noise within.
As long as I walk this Earth, I want to seek and share the everyday beauty
that surrounds us, the kind that brings joy to our lives.
To see the good with open eyes and to embrace the difficult with an open heart.
May our lives be meaningful, fulfilling, and full of love.
